[edit] Appearance

Short, brown hair and blue eyes, tall and somewhat skinny. Wings are feathery and light brown. When hidden, a pair of long scars on his back denote their presence. He wears mostly loose, comfortable clothing, which he finds easier to move around in. Most of this consists of loose, woolen sweaters, and soft, loose blue jeans or khakis, plus a pair of hiking boots. Everything he wears is chosen carefully for freedom of movement, traction, and any other factor that might be important in a fight. Use a double-edged longsword.

[edit] Personality

A little bit OCD, a little bit Paranoid. Jumps at the slightest sign that something might be wrong. Anything that might influence his ability to fight has to be just so. He tries to be helpful and protective of everyone, which ocassionally gets him caught between sides. (Not when it comes to the angel-demon war, but for more mundane things, like feuding friends, for instance.)

Born in the UK. He and his mother (a human) sailed over to the US on the Titanic when he was 14. Since the disaster he has always felt guilt about the death toll and wished he could've done something to protect the people who died (even though there was nothing he could've done). For this reason he found his calling as a Guardian Angel, however unjustified his guilt and self-blame were.

Clearly the impact of having survived the sinking while so many others died has affected him deeply. It's probably the source of his paranoia and OCD. And to top it off, he stll hasn't found his ward, the one he's supposed to guard. He's starting to worry that he never will. Perhaps he will find them at the Conrad Hotel...

  1. A Shoal of night stars hanging fire in the nets - Eloi still doesn't have anyone to guard, despite having been around for 110 years. This person will be his Ward, the one he is destined to protect. I'm going to take a lot of time considering people for this one, so it might not be filled for a little while.   2. And he dreams of a ship on the sea - Eloi's love interest. Has to be female. Eloi will become rather fixated on her; he finds that talked to her really helps him take his mind off his compulsions. In her he sees solace, sanctuary, a shoulder to lean and cry on. One opening for a female non-demon.
  3. In each and every lobster cage, a tortured human soul - Eloi's friends. These people are those who listen to him and try to help him over come his PTSD and any way possible, and (obviously) care about him. Sally Sparrow; several more openings left
  4. You will drink what I drink, but you must equal me - A sparring partner or two. One of Eloi's methods of coping with the PTSD is practicing his swordplay. Don't worry, they'll use sticks, not live steel ;) Daniel Jackson; One or two openings to any Kashtta resident
  5. He's the king of the ninth world - It doesn't seem possible to Eloi, but he can be broke further than he already is. He's pretty sure that only the evilest of beings would try, though. Calisto, Amarantha Shepard
  6. The twisted son of the fogbell's toll - Eloi really, really hates this person. Once he finds his ward, he'll see this one as the primary threat against them (whether they really are or not). One opening
  7. They would sail to the Island of Souls - Eloi never knew his father. He very much wanted to, but he never knew him. With all that's happening now, there's a very good chance they could meet. He might even be able to help Eloi with his PTSD. Egon Lothar
